Mountaineering is one of the favorite outdoor past times of people nowadays. It is probably because not only do you get some time off to discover the outdoors, it is also a great way to get some much needed exercise. This is much better compared to when you spend your days at the fitness gym, with the same surroundings and the stark boring walls that would enclose you. It also provides that sense of adventure we all are looking for, something that you will never find should you remain within the confines of a fitness club or a typical workout destination.

And when it is high time to get some rest, there is nothing like having spacious 3 person tents for you and your buddies. You need not worry about catching off some sleep once you spend a day or two in the mountains, as you can be assured of a weather-proof and comfortable place you can stay in at night. To enhance your mountaineering expedition, bring the best equipment with you as you make your way to the top. This is nature loving at its finest!

Camping Season

It’s that time once again to pack your camping essentials and head on out to the woods to get some camping fun. Going out to the great outdoors either with family and friends is truly a different experience, away from the comforts of home, and the technologies and gadgets that may cloud your attention to the natural beauty of your surroundings. There’s nothing like being one with nature than by spending a few days out in the wilderness, and experiencing this trip alongside the people closest to you.

Camping is great when you have tons of people coming along with you. They say the more, the merrier. Discovering the different flora and fauna and the animals that roam free in the wild is a must to experience. Pitching your dome camping tents and setting that fire for storytelling, and stargazing until the wee hours of the night is something one cannot do in an urban setting. Sometimes, getting back into nature helps you relax, discover and enjoy the simplest of things life has to offer.

Happy Camping

I’m a guy who loves outdoor activities and whenever I have free time from work, I usually go on camping trips with my buddies and we stay there for one or two nights. But recently, I finally convinced my wife to go on a camping trip with me. I didn’t know that she was sensitive to bug bites and when it was night time already she can’t sleep because of them. Long story short, we ended up going home without smiles on our faces.

I really want to go on another camping trip with her that’s why I tried to find a way to persuade her to go with me again. She eventually said yes and this time I bought screen tents to be used on our trip. It prevented even the tiniest bug from entering our tent and she finally enjoyed our trip! I’m really happy with my purchase and finally, my wife said that we can both go on a trip once in a while.

Spacious Living

Tent camping is one form of outdoor recreation where people sleep outdoors in the shelter of a tent. This type of camping can be a lot of fun for the whole family, specially if you have one of the many types of family tents that are available specifically for this purpose. Choosing a family tent that is spacious and comfortable enough for the whole family is key to enjoying a great family tent camping experience.

In addition to comfort and roominess, you should also consider the protective and setting up aspects when purchasing a family tent. The modern family tent is often of the freestanding variety unlike the “old school” family tents with many stakes that need to be set into the ground. A family tent with stakes may be more time consuming to set up, but it is usually much lighter in weight than a freestanding family tent.

We are seeing tents everywhere. These forms of shelter are made of different materials intended for different purposes. The most common uses of tents are by campers for recreation and sports purposes. Bigger versions are being set up for festivals, weddings and events where large numbers of people are expected to converge. Other uses are as temporary shelter in times of disaster or as family tents where relations can come together or use in camping expeditions.

As you might have figured out the there is an extremely wide selection of tents for various purposes. They differ in construction, materials and size. They can vary in price by a mile. The deciding factor for choosing one is if it fits the purpose for which it will be used. Even then, it can still be a difficult decision to choose different models for that purpose.

Shopping for Less

If you consider how the pioneers of this great country used to travel out to the West coast in covered wagons, it seems silly that we think we need such fancy equipment to perform similar activities in present day. There’s no need to spend hundreds of dollars on exotic camping equipment when the cheaper stuff will get the same job done at a fraction of the price.

Therefore, before you venture out on your next camping trip, I recommend you pick up a few discount tents instead of the top-of-the-line model that has you pay for the brand more than anything else. This is the same for other sorts of camping gear like folding chairs and tables as well as sleeping bags and air mattresses. Shop smart!

Qualities of a Good Family Tent

We start thinking about getting a tent and we are faced with questions regarding size and price. Be aware that size and price are not the only things you consider when searching for the right family tent. You also have to consider the construction and how it will work in the kind of adventure that you will be doing. Are you going off to a relaxing weekend commune with nature or to a vacation in the snowy mountains? This will have a bearing on the kind of tent that you will need.

Wherever it is you plan on going, take along family tents that are easy to set up. It is likely that you are not familiar with the kind of ground surface that you will face. A tent that can stand on its own is more suitable than one that will depend on pegs to hold it up. Consider also the weight of the tent that you are buying. There are tents made of special lightweight material that are just as comfortable and secure as those made of heavy material.

Newbie campers should bring equipment that is stable but simple and easy to set up. Big Bend tents are such equipment. They have a proven tunnel design that won’t take much time to assemble. Each features a mesh door and side walls that vent moisture. They have a full coverage rainfly which protects the tent occupants from getting wet in case it rains.

Big Bend tents furthermore have a vestibule for storing gear. This vestibule has parallel zips for entry and for creating an awning. Choose the 7.5 x 5 model if you have a companion to share the tent with. This model has a pack weight of 4 pounds 1 ounce and is a three-season tent.
