Camping Trip

Since my husband and I are pretty busy these days, I cannot help but feel guilty with having to cancel out on our monthly camping trips. We would usually plan a specific weekend where the entire family heads out to the woods in order to bond and spend time together. As my husband would need to take care and iron out a few issues in our business, we have no chance of getting out of the city for the usual trip.

I decided to get a bit creative and have the camping trip still to be pursued; only we are to do it in the comforts of our own backyard! I had a firepit setup so we can cook some hotdogs and marshmallows, and even planned to cook everything here instead of the kitchen to make it more authentic. I also pitched our tents and placed the kids sleeping bags where we intend to sleep for the night. My kids were very happy with our makeshift camping spot. At least I was able to follow tradition even if it meant tweaking a few things.

Survival Supplies

After hurricane Katrina, I must say my family and I were a bit traumatized after the incident. With my husband out for a business trip, we were left to fend for ourselves. We were lucky to have survived the terrible disaster, but I still cannot help but remember the painful days and having our home gone in a blink of any eye.

These days, we are trying to make sure that should this happen again, we would already be more prepared than ever. Property can easily be replaced over time, but the lives lost will never be brought back. This is why I invested on Wise Company Disaster Preparedness 36 Piece Bandage Kit and other disaster supplies, which would ensure our chances of survival in our home. This way I can be sure that I have everything I need should disaster strike once again.
