A three season tent can be a great option for those who plan to camp only during the spring, summer, and fall. In most cases, this type of tent will suit any camper just fine. However, winter camping often requires some special protection which only a four season tent can provide. Whatever type of tent you choose, having a tent repair kit with you whenever you go camping will ensure that you will always be prepared for any eventuality in case your shelter gets damaged.

A tent repair kit will usually include everything you need for quick emergency repairs. A typical tent repair kit comes with a needle, thread, and a tube of canvas cement. It will also include several pieces of waterproof canvas material as well as nylon window screen which you can use to repair small holes or tears in your tent. The materials that come with this tent repair kit is intended to keep you warm and dry in case of accidental damage to your tent.

Damsel-In-Distress

I’m roasting the fish I caught for dinner by the river while sheltered by the canopy of tree tops above me. I hear a woman’s scream. I run towards the voice fast! I see the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on but she is afraid. She is being attacked by a bear! I run back towards my dinner, grab it and go back to the bear! I catch its attention with the fish. The bear sniffs and responds. I throw the fish as far away as possible but making sure the bear sees it. It lunges toward my dinner and we are safe. I rescue the beautiful woman and she rewards me with a kiss.

“Honey, wake up. Please help me with dinner?” I woke up from a dream with a smile on my face. The beautiful woman in my dream is actually my wife. I stand up and set up the Primus camp stove we brought along for our trip. I whistle as I prepare dinner because dream or not, I still end up with the beautiful damsel-in-distress.

Tents are made by different manufacturers who claim that their products are the best for this or that reason. This makes choosing a camping tent a difficult and confusing chore. You can lessen the confusion by reading reviews about certain brands of tents. By browsing the specifications and reading about personal experiences, you will gain an understanding of which brand and model will work best for you and your group. Consider where you will be using the tent, how many you are in your group and certain amenities that you would like to enjoy while out enjoying the benefits of nature.

Paha Que has a line of tents that could include what you are looking for. Paha Que tents range from an emergency lean-to shelter for one to two-bedroom accommodations for 8 persons. You can even opt for a roomy tent combined with an even roomier screen room. The Perry Mesa can sleep four in the tent and an additional four in the screen room. When you go camping, you don’t want to get caught in the dark that is why it is very essential to bring along a camping lantern. It should be part of your equipment and should be on your short list of things to take with you on your trips. When you go shopping for a lantern, you will discover many models. You will find that the prices vary, so don’t get the first one you see, but browse around a bit until you find one that fits your need and has the right price. How much a lantern costs should not be your main reason for buying one; things like usage, quality and fuel type should be considered more important.

Going on a camping trip is truly fun and exciting. The preparation itself can be enjoyable too. So make sure you have everything on your list to spare yourself from any unpleasant camping situations.

It’s always fun to prepare and eat freshly grilled food. However, it is difficult to start the charcoal burning. This is where a fire starter comes very handy. This tool is also perfect for other house tasks such as fire places or barbeque pits. Campers and hikers make it a point to bring this so they will be assured that they will be kept warm at night.

There are different materials that you can use as fire starter. You can use a magnifying glass which you can align to the sun and dried grass or birds nest underneath. Fire can also be created out of steel wool and a battery by touching the top end of the battery to the wool and it will catch on fire. Some use magnesium fire starter which is known to create fire very fast.
