Sleeping bags come in two insulations. Down fill sleeping bags are much warmer and heavier and are best recommended to be used during cold camping seasons. Fiber fill sleeping bags are much lighter than down fill and also cooler. Down fill types will also take up extra space in your packs than fiber fill which are more collapsible.
