Camping first aid kits

March 26th, 2009

Every camper should know the importance of taking along first aid kits on his adventures. Whether camping with friends or with family that includes children, one should always be aware of the dangers that lurk in the camp ground. Just setting up the tent can cause scratches and cuts. Be prepared for bites from insects and scratches from wayward branches while hiking in the woods. Too much exposure to the sun can cause shock in some people.

Camping first aid kits, therefore, should include medical supplies for cleaning scratches and cuts. Follow this up with a liquid antiseptic, and then cover with some bandages. To avoid over exposure to the sun, bring along a sun block cream and make sure to apply it at appropriate times. Some tools, like scissors and tweezers are a necessity. If you intend to stay the night, a good emergency lamp is a requisite. Make sure that batteries are included.
