portable butane stove

December 1st, 2009

Backpacking adventures will not be complete without a nice and hot cooked meal before the day ends. Bring a butane stove along when you go out in the wilds. This would ensure you won’t go hungry anytime soon. Essentially, a portable butane stove contains three parts: a canister of compressed butane gas, a valve, and a burner.

To light the butane stove, you simply have to flick a lighter and open the valve. There is no priming to worry about and no liquid fuel to spill. Thus, there is essentially no maintenance to do. Butane stoves are also very quiet and are easy to operate that even novice backpackers won’t have a hard time making them work.
