Camping first aid kits

March 26th, 2009

Every camper should know the importance of taking along first aid kits on his adventures. Whether camping with friends or with family that includes children, one should always be aware of the dangers that lurk in the camp ground. Just setting up the tent can cause scratches and cuts. Be prepared for bites from insects and scratches from wayward branches while hiking in the woods. Too much exposure to the sun can cause shock in some people.

Camping first aid kits, therefore, should include medical supplies for cleaning scratches and cuts. Follow this up with a liquid antiseptic, and then cover with some bandages. To avoid over exposure to the sun, bring along a sun block cream and make sure to apply it at appropriate times. Some tools, like scissors and tweezers are a necessity. If you intend to stay the night, a good emergency lamp is a requisite. Make sure that batteries are included.

Whenever you will go on a camping trip, a sleeping bag is always an essential. But some people are not comfortable sleeping in them. They bring air beds that they can inflate and have a real bed in their tents. The air beds aren’t only great for camping. They can also be used for guests in your home. You don’t have to buy a real and expensive bed anymore.

These air beds are very easy to inflate. Some come with an electric pump that will inflate the bed in a matter of minutes. You can use the same pump to deflate the bed as well. They come with a carrying case so you can take them anywhere.
